We want to make a difference. That takes a real-world approach.
It takes action.
The Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our community. Founded in 1964, SOHA is a 100-percent member-supported nonprofit organization. Our fully volunteer Board works closely with local and state officials and their offices to ensure that Sherman Oaks remains a beautiful and safe place to live. Our committees are open to all community members and focus on homelessness, housing, transit, airport noise, beautification, and other important issues.
SOHA’s Mission – Make Sherman Oaks a better, safer, friendlier, and more livable community.

A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
As we look back on the remarkable history of the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association, I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to the generations of residents who have made our neighborhood what it is today. Since 1964, SOHA has stood as a voice for homeowners — protecting our quality of life, preserving the character of our community, and ensuring that growth happens with care and common sense. From landmark victories like Proposition 13 and defeating the Community Redevelopment Agency, to ongoing efforts to manage traffic, preserve open space, and engage city leaders, SOHA continues to be powered by your involvement and support. Our work is far from done, and as we face new challenges in development, transportation, and environmental protection, I invite you to stay engaged, attend our meetings, and share your voice. Thank you for being part of this vibrant, committed community.
Let’s keep working together to shape a stronger, more connected Sherman Oaks.
Dear Neighbors,
Warm regards,
Matt Epstein
President, Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association
